Let's put it out there right away. 'Hardbodies 2' is bad. It's simple and hard-to-follow; which is kinda an anomaly. The film does have its moments, but they're just few and far between. Starring, we have veteran actor, James Karen ('Return of the Living Dead' 1 & 2, and Poltergeist). The character, Scotty Palmer, returns; but not the actor who made the role memorable. Grant Cramer, who played Palmer in the first film, was replaced by Brad Zutaut. Aside from the fact he has a shitty mullet, Brad plays the character like a fucking assdick, whatever that means. He kinda looks like Cramer, but otherwise, he's terrible. The character of Rags is back, as well; except instead of the red-headed ginger, Courtney Gains, he's played by dark-haired jerk, Sam Temeles.

'Hardbodies 2' is all over the place. It starts confusing. The movie switches between reality and make-believe as half of the movie is spent filming a fake movie. It's a movie inside of a movie, possibly inside of another movie; though I'm not quite sure. And then to add to the complexities, Scotty gets kidnapped at one part and then released minutes later for no real reason. He comes back to the film shoot and finds his fiance sleeping with another man. Immediately, he's in another relationship with the film's (both the fake film and 'Hardbodies 2') heroine. And then the movie just kinda ends. I don't know. It really feels like they chose three scripts and took pages from each, forgot to shoot some scenes and called it 'Hardbodies 2'.

But, hey -- it does have James Karen. . . Eh? Eh?

On my scale:
Overall Enjoyment ----6
Redeeming Qualities---5
Rewatchability---------6

Fun/Special Effects----4
Directing/Quality------1
Plot/Storyline----------0
Pacing-----------------4
James Karen----------10 (It was "Dialogue/Acting", but out of respect for 'Hardbodies', I can't give this a 26)
TOTAL---------------36

And for some reason, I'm not going to disapprove of 'Hardbodies 2'.
